FREE Media Training & Tour of the Racecourse – Monday 22nd February 2010
Dear IOD Member / Guest
I am pleased to inform you of our first Gloucestershire@Six event for 2010 and to confirm the years schedule of events for 2010.
Our first event will take place at Cheltenham Racecourse and is being hosted by BizView.tv www.bizview.tv
This free evening event consists of an interactive workshop provided by BizView.tv entitled “Surviving The Broadcast Media” and will provide you with essential hints and tips to help if you are faced with giving a radio or TV interview either as an “expert” or as a representative of your company. The event will take place in the remarkable Panoramic Suite situated near the Centaur building on the 5th floor of the Grandstand at Cheltenham Racecourse. Starting at 6pm on Monday 22nd February, the event is free to both members and guests of the IOD and directions can be found at www.cheltenham.co.uk. The workshop will be run by ex BBC producer and BizView.tv director Dave Harries along with working ITN Journalist and ex GMTV presenter, Jackie Kabler www.jackiekabler.co.uk . BizView.tv will also be bringing along a professional camera team so that members of the audience can experience the pressure of a live interview for themselves. The event will be highly interactive and we hope a very informative and enjoyable evening. Following the workshop, the racecourse have offered to give members and guests a short tour of the facilities at this world famous venue. Free parking is available in the racecourse “members” car park right by the Centaur building.
About BizView.tv
BizView.tv are video production company specialising in broadcast style, interview led documentaries to communicate their clients’ products and services. Director Dave Harries co-founded the company 2 years ago after a 22 year career in broadcasting and recording. His guiding principle is that business video should be clear and informative, rejecting the special effects and cheesy music so beloved of the genre, in favour of clear concise interview driven reportage, giving the viewer information and not a sales pitch.
