Charlton Networks Ltd, the Gloucestershire based IT Networking specialist has acquired Cedar Electronics, in a bid to extend IT support services in to the area of IT hardware repair and servicing.

The acquisition will offer customers of both companies a considerably broader range of services and will also provide a dedicated IT Repair Centre based at The Canterbury Business Centre in Tewkesbury, Glos.

Ian Bassett-Smith, Managing Director of Cedar comments “This move comes as an important development for Cedar and securing our long term future for the business. Ian Ramsay - Cisco Engineer
New Staff Join Our Team
Ian Ramsay joined Charlton Networks in April 2006 and provides our corporate clients with Cisco LAN & WAN support services. Ian holds both CCNA and Microsoft qualifications.

At the same time Duncan Foster moved into our IT Helpdesk to support our contracted customers and help launch the new IT Monitoring Service.

Network Monitoring Service Launched Charlton Networks have launched a new service aimed at providing businesses with real-time statistics, emergency alerting and performance base-lining of their critical voice & data IP networks. The service provides clients with critical information on their systems, without the investment and operation of expensive & complex management tools.

This service provides a managed service whose cost that is based upon the number of nodes per month, making it easy to quickly expand or contract as the end user requires.

Jim's skills have been gain through working with SME's and larger Corporate organizations and he brings valuable experience to the Team.

1st February 2004

New support contract for Pegasus Retirement Homes & CHARLTON NETWORKS, have been awarded the IT Network Support contract for Pegasus Retirement Homes.

Pegasus, whose head quarters are based in Cheltenham, provide high quality retirement accommodation and have sites across the UK. Pegasus depend upon the reliability and security of their network in order to deliver business services to all staff based across head quarters, sales offices and remote / mobile locations.

Steve Hughes, IT Director for Pegasus was quoted “We are delighted to have contracted with Charlton Networks and especially value their in-depth skills and expertise”.
