With a site network of over 1000 users, Smiths Aerospace needed to upgrade their network infrastructure in order to support increased network usage and new business systems. Charlton Networks were able to design and deliver a high speed, resilient solution that enabled their business systems upgrade, but which also took advantage of their existing infrastructure investment and which was installed with minimal disruption to the business operation.

The on-going monitoring and management of the system provides Smiths Aerospace with real-time statistics on a wide range of key metrics and an automated base-lining system enables operators to see where and when the network performance varies from the norm. In addition key statistics are also published on-line for non technical staff to view and out-of-hours alerts are automatically sent to an on-call engineering team. This proactive approach to network management provides ensures increased availability and uptime, resulting in a more productive environment.
